A short wait later, the plate arrived. Sitting before me was a masterpiece: golden-brown marshmallows perched atop French toast, their gooey edges spilling into rich, melted chocolate. As I picked up my knife, the layers of soft, buttery Danish bread beneath the toppings revealed themselves, and I couldn’t help but feel a surge of excitement.

The first bite was pure magic. The fluffy bread, melty marshmallows, and deep, velvety chocolate blended together in a harmony of textures and flavors that transported me—oddly enough—to a campfire night I’d never actually experienced. There was something nostalgic yet entirely new about it, as if it belonged to a memory I didn’t know I had.
